Competency Based Education

 Competency Based Education Competency Based Education implies an education system that promotes competency. It means this system of education produces a competent person. When we talk about a competent person, we mean a person equipped with skills. Skills are closely associated with all the three domains of learning i.e. Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor. However, if we see logically, a set of skills must be demonstrated by an educated person. These skills may be under the purview of any of the mentioned domains. When display of a skill comes in the picture with reference to education, we talk about learning outcomes.  So for a goal of learning - teaching system, there should be a set of competencies to be attained.
